The Citrus paradisi tree is a member of the Rutaceae family and grows best in warm, tropical climates. The tree to looks as if there are bundles of grapes hanging on trees. It's height can grow to be more than 30 feet tall and it appears to be round in shape. 
 
Called the forbidden fruit of Barbados by Griffith Hughes, Grapefruit (Pink) was discovered to be growing in Jamaica in 1789.  Since then, grapefruit has been found to have many, many benefits--from clearing skin to rejuvenating dull hair.
