The Cymbopogon flexuosus is a tall perennial plant that belongs to the Poaceae grass family. It has bright green colored leafy stalks that gracefully arch upward before bending downward. Lemongrass is native to India and Sri Lanka and grows up to 2-4 ft tall and has widths reaching 2-3 ft wide.
Lemongrass can be found in traditional Indian medicine, used to treat infectious illnesses and fevers. The essential oil is used in aromatherapy because of its countless benefits to mental well-being.
 
How To Use
Always dilute an essential oil when using it on the skin. This essential oil is unlikely to cause skin irritation when diluted properly. If the oil has been oxidized (left with the cap off for long periods of time) it is more likely to cause skin irritation.
